Phenix City police confirmed the Swift died while trying to prevent a truck from colliding with his home on 16th Street in Phenix City.

Captain Jim Hart said Swift got out of the truck and it started rolling backwards. When he tried to jump back in the truck to stop it, the door knocked him to the ground and the truck rolled over him.
