GILA BEND, AZ (CBS5) -

Deputies in Maricopa County are looking for the suspects who abandoned two vehicles carrying more than $1 million worth of marijuana.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said the vehicles were discovered abandoned early Friday morning in the desert east of Gila Bend after a chase with police.

A mid-size SUV was stuffed from the floorboards to the roof along with an extended cab pickup truck, according to MCSO. In all, there were roughly 2,000 pounds of pot.

MCSO deputies searched the area by helicopter but weren't able to locate the suspects.

Anyone with information should call MCSO.
