A two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon claimed two lives. The crash occurred at approximately 3:25 p.m. on Alabama 14 about 25 miles west of Prattville.
Thomas Anthony Lovoy, 75, of Valley Grande was traveling west when the 2008 Chevrolet Malibu he was driving collided with an eastbound 1994 Freightliner driven by Clinton Hope, 35, of Selma.
Lovoy was transported to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, where he later died from his injuries.
One of the passengers in his vehicle, Betty Diamond Lovoy, 63, also of Valley Grande, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 16-year-old passenger in Lovoy's vehicle also was injured in the crash and was transported to Baptist South for treatment.
Hope was not injured. Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the crash, and nothing further is available.
