Falcons Center Todd McClure announces retirement

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

After 14 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, Center Todd McClure announced he will not return for 2013 NFL season.

On Wednesday McClure tweeted, "Huge thanks to everyone for all their well wishes. I am retiring an Atlanta Falcon. More to come at a press conference after owners meetings."

McClure was a seventh-round draft pick by the Falcons in 1999. He's been the starting center since 2000.   

McClure is the team's longest tenured Falcon.
