Three men are arrested on drug possession charges in Dearborn County.

On Thursday night, ISP say they pulled over a car at U.S. 50 and Arch St. in Lawrenceburg for a traffic violation.

The trooper said the car smelled like marijuana so he asked the driver, 26 year old Matthew P. Redd of Madison, IN, and his two passengers, Justin C. Jones, 25, of Lexington, IN and Derek A. Wood, 22, of Bedford, KY, to get out of the car.

Troopers say a subsequent search revealed heroin, a hypodermic syringe, and other articles commonly associated with the use of heroin.

All three individuals were arrested on charges of possession of heroin and maintaining a common nuisance.
