(FOX19) -
A Mt. Healthy man is behind bars on allegations that he abused two young children in his care.
James
"Randy" Brown, 23, was arrested on Thursday night by the Crimes Against Children (CAC) unit.
Police requested the unit after a woman needed medical care for her
11-month-old son Wednesday night, later found to have a skull
fracture. Authorities say Brown is a friend of the mother's family.
In addition, a 3-month-old unrelated child was taken to the hospital, also in Brown's care, and found that he had multiple rib fractures.
"After learning of these
serious injuries, we made the decision to immediately contact BCI's Crimes
Against Children unit to provide their expertise," said Mount Healthy
Police Chief Marc Waldeck.
Brown was charged with two counts of endangering children and two counts of felonious assault.
He is currently being held at the Hamilton County Jail.
