MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The Montgomery Police Department says it has made two arrests in connection with the city's 16th homicide of 2013.

Authorities did not have to search far for their suspects. Both were already in custody at the Montgomery County Detention Facility on capital murder charges in connection to the city's 44th homicide of the year.

MPD investigators are charging Elijah Frazier, 19, and Rodricko Davis, 22, both of Montgomery, with one count each of capital murder in the March 15, 2013 death of Larry Wells.

Wells was gunned down in the 1100 block of E.D. Nixon Avenue in what authorities now believe was during the course of a robbery.

Both Frazier and Davis are being held without bond.
