MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is investigating an apparent home invasion that happened off of Booth Road in West Montgomery County.
Neighbors said the homeowner was shot in the leg, but a spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office would only confirm that two men came into the home and demanded several items before taking off.
"We've been here over 10 years and it's disturbing that it happened because nothing like this goes on out here. I mean this is the first time we've had problems of any kind out here," said a neighbor who did not want to be identified.
Neighbors said the two men left in a white Lexus. As of Sunday evening, the two men had not been brought into custody.
