(FOX19) -
Authorities are currently investigating a crash involving an overturned semi-tractor trailer on State Route 73.
William Martin, 45 of Xenia, was driving a 2013 Freightliner eastbound on State Route 73 on Wednesday when he lost control due to heavy wind gusts, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSP).
Martin's semi-tractor trailer went off the right side of the road into a ditch and overturned on its right side. It happened around 1:30 p.m., about one mile west of I-71.
The driver was wearing his seatbelt but received minor injuries from the crash. He was taken to Clinton Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Chester Township Fire and EMS remained at the
scene to make sure that no diesel fuel leaked from the semi. The road was closed to traffic while crews worked to remove the vehicle from the scene.
The crash remains under investigation, and the driver will likely be
cited for failure to maintain reasonable control, according to OSP.
Alcohol
and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash.
