BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The saga involving former Baton Rouge Police Chief Dewayne White has taken another turn.

The Baton Rouge Police Union has now filed a lawsuit against State Police.

The union submitted a public records request asking for copies of any disciplinary records involving Chief White during the time he worked for State Police.

State Police denied the request.

The lawsuit asks a judge to force State Police to turn over the records.

State Police tell 9News they have just received the lawsuit and will not comment until they've had a chance to review it.
