CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The Hamilton County OVI Task Force announces that an OVI checkpoint will be conducted Friday, March 22, 2013 in Cincinnati.

The checkpoint will be located at 190 E. McMillan Street and will be in operation from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

Motorists will notice an increased police presence in the area as police search for impaired drivers.

The task force says checkpoint locations are selected based upon analysis of OVI arrests and impaired driving crashes that have occurred in the area of the proposed checkpoint.

Thirty seven OVI-related crashes, including one that resulted in a death, have occurred in the area of the checkpoint since January 1, 2012.

During the same time period, the Cincinnati Police Department made 106 OVI arrests in the area.
