Downtown roads close due to Gorilla Run

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The Cincinnati Gorilla Run will shut down a number of downtown roads Sunday morning into the early afternoon.

The following streets will close at 10:00 a.m.:

Mehring Way- between Joe Nuxhall Way and E. Pete Rose Way

Central Avenue- northbound closed between Mehring Way and Third Street

Elm Street- between Freedom Way and Mehring Way

Joe Nuxhall Way between Freedom and Mehring Way

Johnny Bench Way

Ramp LL

Broadway- between Third and E Pete Rose Way

E Pete Rose Way- eastbound between Johnny Bench Way and Eggleston Avenue

Riverside Drive between Eggleston Avenue and Bains Street

 

The run begins at 10:30 a.m. and will end around 1:00 p.m., at which all streets will be reopened.

    William Huff terrorized Sierra Vista during the spring and summer of 1967. Despite a sentence of 40 years to life, the Arizona Board of Executive Clemency voted to release him from prison into home arrest. Family members of the victims are concerned for the safety of the community, as are new members of the Clemency Board. CBS 5 Investigates videotaped Huff riding a bike through his Tucson neighborhood. There are no restrictions placed on his proximity to children.
