CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Clarksville man is facing charges after he's accused of shoving a woman off her porch while she was holding a baby.

Demetrius Robinson, 21, was arrested Friday night in connection with the incident, according to the Leaf Chronicle.

Police said Robinson walked up to the woman's home on Berkshire Drive and demanded she hand over the child.

When she refused, Robinson is accused of grabbing her by the throat and shoving her off the porch with the child still in her arms.

Neither the woman nor the baby were seriously hurt.

Robinson is being charged with domestic assault and child abuse.
