NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A woman says she tried jumping out a window to escape a man who attempted to keep her in his home after they were on a date.

Police said the female victim was having dinner with the suspect, Corey Bryant, but after dinner, she went into the bathroom to fix her hair.

That's when she said Bryant attacked her by the neck, threw her into the bathtub and began punching and strangling her.

The victim told police she broke free from Bryant's grip and ran toward the front door, but he pulled two handguns and blocked her from escaping.

She said she ran toward a window and tried to jump out, but Bryant dragged her from the apartment to his car.

While in the parking lot, the victim said she broke free and ran to a fire truck that was parked outside. A firefighter then called 911.

Bryant was arrested and charged with false imprisonment.
