MPD makes arrest in city's 14th homicide of 2013

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Montgomery Police have made an arrest in the city's 14th homicide of 2013.

Quinton Parhams, 24, was arrested and charged with capital murder in the March 7th shooting death of Tarrance Hall.  Parhams was injured in the incident and had been receiving hospital treatment since the shooting.

The shooting took place on the afternoon of March 7th at the 3800 block of South Smiley Circle. Authorities arrived on the scene and found Parhams suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officers then found Tarrance Hall in a vehicle at the intersection of Estate Street and West Boulevard. Hall sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe that the shooting resulted from an argument. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

Parhams is being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility without bond.
