PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM/WSFA) -

Five Montgomery residents are under arrest and charged in the homicide of a Phenix City man, according to reports from our sister station, WTVM.

The suspects are identified as 24-year-old Eric Dansby, 30-year-old Shawnna Renee Davidson, 23-year-old Marshekia Le'an Knight, 23-year-old Jonnel Marquet Davis and a male juvenile who is not identified.

The Selma Police Department confirmed that Dansby was found hiding in that city around 8:30 a.m by members of the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force. Dansby, who was staying with his sister in the 1400 block of St. Ann Street, was immediately extradicted by to Phenix City.

Each is accused of taking part in the death of 38-year-old John Dwayne Jones who was shot and killed in his home near the 1800 block of 7th Street on March 25.

Authorities say the homicide occurred during a robbery of Jones' residence.
