MERRYVILLE, La. (AP) - Louisiana State Police say a 69-year-old East Texas man died in Beauregard Parish, Louisiana when he lost control of his pickup and overturned.

Troopers say Robert Norman of Bon Wier, Texas, was driving west on U.S. Highway 190 at about 4:32 a.m. Sunday when his pickup ran off the road and overturned in the ditch.

Investigators say Norman was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The single-vehicle crash happened about one mile east of the Texas state line.
