Woman turns irate after being denied kitten adoption

MURFREESBORO, TN (WSMV) -

A woman who tried to adopt an animal was refused and had to be escorted by police from the pet adoption center, according to the Murfreesboro Post.

After filling out the required forms, employees at Pet Adoption and Welfare Services in Murfreesboro discovered the woman did not meet the requirements.

When they told her she couldn't have the kitten, they said she became irate, crying and yelling. Officers initially thought they were responding to a holdup at the building because of the frantic situation.

When officers arrived, police escorted the woman and her adult daughter off the property.

No charges have been filed.
