Phoenix firefighter shocked while fighting fire

A Phoenix firefighter was hospitalized after he came in contact with a live electrical wire while fighting a mobile home fire early Tuesday morning. PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A Phoenix firefighter was hospitalized after he came in contact with a live electrical wire while fighting a mobile home fire early Tuesday morning.

The firefighter was in stable condition at a Phoenix hospital, according to a Phoenix Fire Department spokesman.

A family of five was able to escape the flames near 31st Avenue and Van Buren Street, but they lost virtually everything in the fire, according to the spokesman.

The Red Cross was assisting the family.

No cause had been determined and no other injuries were reported..
