CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A mother in Montgomery County got a big surprise Tuesday night when she found an intruder suddenly standing inside her home.

The break-in occurred on Parkview Drive around 9:30 p.m.

The woman said she opened the back door to let her dogs inside and suddenly heard her toddler say "hi."

When she ran to the kitchen where her child was, there was a stranger standing next to the kitchen table.

The mother grabbed her children, ran to a neighbor's house and called 911.

Police said nothing was stolen, and the intruder was gone before they arrived.

The resident described the man as a white juvenile, 6'1" and about 200 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
