PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A man wanted in connection with a stabbing death was arrested Monday afternoon near 40th Avenue and Granada Road in Phoenix.

Clint Eastwood Maez, 21, was booked into jail on charges of second-degree murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

On March 28, Phoenix police were called to an apartment parking lot located at 3800 N. Maryvale Parkway around 7 p.m., where they found two men with stab wounds.

The two men, who are brothers, were in the parking lot when, for unknown reasons, Maez approached them, according to Phoenix police. A short time later, all three men got in a verbal fight that escalated to Maez stabbing the two brothers, officers said.

Police said Johnny Espindola, 50, died from a stab wound to his neck while his 54-year-old brother was injured but is expected to survive. Police did not identify his brother.
