TAMPA, FL (WSFA) -

Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation say they believe the man responsible for abducting his children from their grandmother's Tampa, Florida home may be traveling south on a sailboat.

Joshua Hakken recently purchased a 25-foot boat named "Salty" according to reports from Tampa television station WFLA. That boat is no longer at marina in Madeira Beach where it was being kept.

Hakken's pickup truck was found Thursday night in a nearby parking garage by officers with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Hakken is said to have tied up the boys' grandmother, who received permanent custody of them Tuesday, before taking the children.

Amber Alerts were issued across the Southeast following the abduction.

Anyone with information on the location of Cole Hakken, 4, or Chase Hakken, 2, or their non-custodial parents, Joshua Hakken, 35, or Sharyn Hakken, 34, should contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department at 813-247-8200 or dial 911 immediately.
