Birmingham, AL (WBRC) - It was one moment in time shared by people hundreds of miles apart. Saturday at 10:05 AM Luke Bresette's funeral started in Kansas City. He was the baseball loving 10 year old killed in an accident at the Birmingham Shuttlesworth International Airport. Luke was killed when a flight display cabinet fell on him.

At the exact same time of the service in Kansas City a little league team in Avondale paused to remember Bresette and say good bye. Heads bowed, caps covering hearts, standing in silence. The little leaguers shared in a moment with others more than 600 miles away. First players released balloons for Luke then at 10:05 they paused for a moment of silence. Luke's family chose to start his funeral five minutes after ten to honor the boys love of sport.

After reading luke's obituary christine mclean says she came up with the idea for a moment of silence at the game at the same time the funeral was starting. She felt it a fitting way to pay tribute.
