SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Police arrested three men overnight in connection to a shooting in Palmer.

Palmer police tell CBS 3 that they responded to a shooting at the Turtle Pond Tavern shortly after 1 a.m.

They said the shooter fired shots into the air during a fight in the parking lot.

Palmer police put out a description of the vehicle, a gold Nissan Altima, and Springfield police stopped the car on Parker Street a little over 30 minutes later.

Shamall Smith, 28, of Springfield, was arrested along with two other men.  Smith faces numerous firearm charges in Palmer, as well as drug and weapon charges in Springfield.

CBS 3 media partner Mass Live and The Republican reported the others arrested were Nathan Pinare, 31, of Indian Orchard, and Scott White, 27, of Ware.
