CrimeStoppers Searching for man wanted in Prattville LaQuinta robbery

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The Prattville Police Department and Central Alabama CrimeStoppers are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for robbing the Prattville LaQuinta Inn.

Police say the crime happened on Monday, April 1 at approximately 5:30 a.m. at the LaQuinta Inn at 261 Interstate Commercial Park Loop.

Security video shows an unidentified male subject walking up to the front desk clerk with a gun. At the time, the clerk was outside of the hotel near the front door on break. The suspect escorted her inside the hotel to the cash register at the front desk where he ordered her at gunpoint to empty the cash register for him.

The suspect then fled the hotel from a side door. Security footage shows him running down a hallway to get away.

The Prattville Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying this suspect before he has the chance to strike again. Police believe he may be involved in similar crimes throughout the River Region.
