Clarksville suspect arrested after child sexually assaulted

CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A man wanted for questioning in the sexual assault of a child is now in police custody.

Darnell Deshay Comauex, 38, was arrested at 9:46 a.m., after police received a tip that he was at an apartment on Maddox Court in Clarksville.

Police said he had an active warrant on file in Montgomery County for violation of the sex offender registry.

He also has active warrants in New Mexico and California for drugs, failure to appear and violation of probation.

Comauex has a lengthy criminal history involving alcohol and drugs related charges.
