SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

As the rain continues to fall across Mid-Michigan, several counties are under flood warnings.

  • Saginaw County remains under a flood warning until 8 a.m. Saturday.
  • Bay and Midland Counties are under an ice storm warning until 8 a.m. Friday.
  • Gratiot County remains under a flood warning until 11 a.m. Saturday.
  • Tuscola County is under a flood warning until 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
  • Arenac County and Gladwin County are under a winter storm warning until 9 a.m. Friday.
  • Genesee and Shiawassee Counties are under a flood warning until 8 a.m. Saturday.
  • Isabella and Clare counties are under a flood advisory until 8:30 p.m. Friday.
  • A couple of counties in the area are under a winter storm warning. Arenac, Ogemaw, Iosco, Roscommon, Missaukee are under that alert until 9 a.m. Friday.

The National Weather Service says at least two Michigan waterways have hit flood stage, and it has issued a flood watch through Friday for much of central and southeastern lower Michigan.

Many areas find themselves water-logged as the National Weather Service has already begun to issue flood watches and warnings across our region. (For clarification on the difference between the two, check out: Weather Explained: Watch vs. Warning )

April has been off to a wet start, and though we may see a quick break in the moisture on Saturday, from the looks of things, this pattern may continue.
