Montgomery Public Schools' Spring Magnet Application Period begins today

On Monday, April 15, Montgomery Public Schools will begin its spring magnet application period, which will run through May 3.

The spring magnet application period is for applicants who have moved to Montgomery after February 15, 2013. Program requirements, magnet school applications and transcript request forms can be downloaded from the MPS website at www.mps.k12.al.us. Applications and transcript forms will also be available at the magnet schools.

All spring magnet applications and transcripts must be turned in by 4:30 p.m. on May 3, 2013 to the magnet school for which you are applying. Applications will not be accepted at the Central Office. Parents are encouraged to contact the magnet school to receive more information about their programs.  

Transcripts are used to determine eligibility for acceptance into the magnet programs. All transcript request forms must be completed and given to the principal or counselor at the school the student currently attends. The form must be on file at the magnet school no later than 4:30 p.m. on May 3, 2013.

Interviews and auditions will begin as applications are accepted. Letters will be mailed to spring applicants notifying them of their status on May 17. Acceptance letters must be returned by May 24.
