CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Therapy dogs are headed to the College of Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday as part of the Mount's annual "De-Stress Week".

The dogs come to the Mount each year for some quality cuddle time with students who could use a break from stress that comes at the end of the semester.

"Research shows the simple act of petting a dog can benefit students in the reduction of stress," said Mount wellness counselor, Meghan Griffin, in a press release.

Therapy Pets of Greater Cincinnati has provided the dogs for De-Stress Week for the past three years.

Therapy Pets of Greater Cincinnati  is a non-profit group that includes over 200 volunteers and their pets.
