AVONDALE, OH (FOX19) -

A suspect appeared in court Wednesday in connection with a shooting that injured a 4-year-old boy in Avondale.

Police say Khyren Landrum, 4, was shot by a single bullet in the buttocks during a drive-by shooting on Blair Avenue in March 2012. He was taken to Children's Hospital Medical Center and later released. Police believe he was an unintended target, caught in the cross fire of the shooting.

Rashid Lattimore, 25, was in Hamilton County Court for a pre-trial hearing.

He was charged with two counts of felonious assault and one count of having weapons under disability.

Shaquille Smith, 20, Masai Williams, 26, David Alexander, 26, Masai Torbert, 43, and Antonio Huff, 44, were also indicted for the shooting.
