CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Earlier this week, Cincinnati City Council unanimously passed a resolution declaring Cincinnati a
participant in a 10-year, Compassionate City Campaign, and further declaring April to be
"Compassionate Action Month."

"In light of recent events across our nation, it is important that we work together to focus on
our strengths as a compassionate city and work to bring attention to compassionate acts
throughout our neighborhoods, communities and across our City," said Councilmember Chris
Seelbach.

Locally led by Compassionate Cincinnati, a grassroots effort seeking to up lift and increase the
compassionate action happening within our City, the effort will begin a multi-faceted, multiyear
campaign including education, outreach and local events highlighting compassionate
actions.

Cincinnati joins Seattle, Houston and Louisville as 'compassionate cities.'
