NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A criminal with a superhero nickname has again been accused of a pretty serious charge.

Court records show Aqua Curtis pleaded guilty to assault after Metro police said he threatened people with a box cutter in the Printer's Alley area downtown.

Channel 4 News first aired details of Curtis' arrest history in July 2012 and noted how police nicknamed him "Aqua Man" after becoming very familiar with him.

Back then, he had already been arrested 80 times and told Channel 4 News he wanted to turn his life around, blaming alcohol for his problems with the law.

"The taxpayers are having to pay for people like me, which I don't feel proud of. I feel guilty about it," Curtis said in July 2012.

Curtis is awaiting a sentencing hearing on these latest charges.
