On Friday, April 19, 2013, at about 8:30 p.m. Montgomery Police and Fire Medics responded to the 4800 block of Windywood Ct. on a report of a subject shot. There they located the victim, 19-year-old Darryl Morris of Montgomery, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and pronounced dead on the scene.

MPD's initial investigation indicates the shooting occurred during a robbery attempt. No arrests have been made at this time. This investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available for public release.

This is Montgomery's 21st homicide of 2013.

Police ask individuals with knowledge of this homicide to call CrimeStoppers at 215-STOP, Secret Witness at 262-4000 or the Montgomery Police Department at 625-2831.
