DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Decatur Police arrested newly signed Baltimore Ravens linebacker, Rolando McClain, Sunday night.

McClain was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after a disturbance call at Pines Park.

According to Decatur Police, officers were called to Pines Park in reference to a fight involving a large crowd. When they arrived on scene, officers found more than 700 people in the park and in the streets. The fight was over by that time, but officers said it appeared there had been some type of disturbance.

As officers worked to control traffic, a man walked past an officer and yelled to the crowd, "[Expletive] the police!" Officers ordered him to stop, but the man continued walking. When the officer ordered him to stop a second time, the man replied, "You told me to walk and I'm walking."

Officers caught up with him and grabbed him by his arms. They told him he was under arrest for disorderly conduct and instructed him to put his hands behind his back. The man yanked his arms away from the officers as other people moved in to try to prevent the officers from arresting the offender. That's when officers recognized the man as Rolando McClain.

According to a police report, McClain and several members of his group continued to struggle with officers. Members of the crowd stepped in to try to get McClain and his friends to calm down. More officers arrived and they were able to take McClain into custody without further incident.

He was released on $1,000 bond.

This is the third time McClain has been arrested in Decatur since 2011. At the time of his arrest Sunday, he was out on bond from an arrested in January for a window tint violation and giving officers a false name. Prior to that, McClain was arrested for assault charges in December of 2011, but those charges have since been dropped.

"In this case as well as the case in January, the officers had no idea who they were dealing with. He's targeted and he's not singled out. They don't spend every waking moment wondering, 'Where's Rolando and what's he doing?' In both cases, he made very poor decisions," said Lt. John Crouch with Decatur Police.

Sunday's arrest was captured on video and is currently being processed by the Decatur Police Department.

The Prosecutor's Office is reviewing McClain's recent arrest and will decide whether to file a motion asking that his bonds from the January arrest be revoked.

McClain is now with the Ravens after being released by the Oakland Raiders.
