MOUNT JULIET, TN (WSMV) -

Mt. Juliet police credit a tip from a Channel 4 News viewer for helping them solve a recent rise in daytime home burglaries in the Clearview Estates neighborhood.

Christopher Bly, 39, and Keaton Garner, 21, both of Nashville, were spotted in Tunica, MS, and officers then arrested the pair once they returned to Nashville on an outstanding Coffee County warrant.

Each is now charged with three counts of aggravated burglary.

Harold Maddox said he has lived in the Clearview Estates neighborhood almost 30 years with no problems until he left his house on April 11 for a few hours to go fishing and the burglars hit.

"So much of the stuff belonged to my wife, and it was sentimental to her - especially the guitar being an anniversary gift, but they took a lot of cards that had nothing in them except cards," Maddox said.

The thieves grabbed plenty out his home and another house around the corner, including guns, jewelry, money and medications.

"I feel more sorry for them than I do me, because they are doing things they shouldn't be doing. And I pray someday they will change their ways," Maddox said.

Police said they are now in the process of trying to locate all of the stolen property, and once the items are located they will be returned to the homeowners.

Detectives also ask anyone who has recently purchased items from Bly or Garner to call the Mt. Juliet Police Department at 615-754-2550.
