MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Montgomery Police want to talk to a man who allegedly dropped a gunshot victim off at a local emergency room, then left the scene.

Authorities say a man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound was dropped off at the Baptist South Hospital Emergency Room late Wednesday night.

Police now want to speak with the man who allegedly dropped the victim off at the hospital - they say he is a person of interest concerning this assault case.

Police are questioning 24-year-old Javon Rice in connection with this case. A lookout was originally posted for rice. Police say he is in custody as of Thursday night.

At this time the victim is listed in life-threatening condition. No additional details are available.
