Cause of death released for woman who died at Evansville hotel

Posted: Updated:

The Vanderburgh County Coroner has released the cause of death for a Newburgh woman who died at the east side Hampton Inn last month.

Coroner Annie Groves says 47-year-old Robin Frank died due to respiratory failure caused by multiple medication toxicity.

On March 13, authorities were called to the hotel on Eagle Crest Blvd. when an employee saw a man, now confirmed as her husband, pushing an unresponsive woman on a luggage cart through the hotel lobby and to a car in the parking lot.

Authorities briefly questioned Frank's husband Kenneth, but authorities said they did not suspect any foul play in Frank's death.

Robin and Kenneth were registered guests of the hotel. They had recently had a fire in their Newburgh home and were staying at that hotel.
