TEMPE, AZ (CBS5) -

Five Arizona State University students were rushed to the hospital early Sunday morning after police say they were beaten by a group armed with handguns and baseball bats.

Police arrested five people who fled the attack in a neighborhood just off campus near Apache Boulevard and McClintock Drive.

Tempe detectives arrested 20-year-old Caleb Everett late Sunday night, said Mike Pooley of the Tempe Police Department.

Arrested earlier Sunday were 19-year-old Isaiah Everett, 18-year-old Zack Rezendes, 19-year-old Clarissa Casillas and 19-year-old Michael Reyes, Pooley said.

Investigators said all of the victims were members of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity.

Summer Peters is a mother of three trying to raise her family. She said it's hard when every day it's the same thing.

"You can just hear music. It sounds like you are in a bar and there are always gunshots," Peters said.

Just before 4 a.m. that's exactly what she woke up to.

Tempe police told CBS 5 News a fight over a high school girl from Surprise at the frat party escalated when the girl's boyfriend and his friends came back looking for revenge.

Investigators said the suspects attacked the five members of Delta Kappa Epsilon. Police said they went as far as to smash one fraternity member in the face. After the beating, witnesses said the suspects fired several shots into the air.

Peters said the brawl was the final straw. She's now looking for a new place to live.

"I'm concerned with safety. I don't know if a bullet is going to come through the wall," Peters said.

Two fraternity brothers were still in the hospital serious condition.
