Last Tuesday, a Longview Police Department sting busted a local business for selling alcohol to a minor.
Longview police partnered with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and Longview Partners in Prevention to conduct off-premise stings at area retailers to ensure compliance Texas law preventing the sale of alcohol to minors.
Big Papa's, located at 880 East Loop 281 in Longview, sold alcohol to an undercover minor. The individual who make the sale was listed in an offense report for making alcohol available to a minor, a Class A misdemeanor. The report will be filed with the Gregg County District Attorney's Office for prosecution.
TABC also issued a citation to the business.
14 other locations were checked by the team and all of them were in compliance with the law.
