ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

It's win or go home time for soccer teams around Southwest Georgia, as the GHSA State Playoffs kick off Tuesday.

The Westover Lady Patriots were hoping to turn back the Spalding High Jaguars in the first round.

The teams were tied at 1 at halftime, and the back and forth between the two teams continued in the second half, with neither team being able to score.

But with two minutes remaining in overtime, Westover broke through, earning the 2-1 win.

The Lady Pats travel to Veterans High in Kathleen for a second round game on May 7.
