ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Three Albany State Golden Rams have a chance to strap on NFL helmets this season.

DT Justin Blash has been invited to try out with the New York Giants, while WR Ronnie Tubbs and RB Nathan Hoyte are headed to work with the New Orleans Saints.

Blash was named to the All-SIAC First Team in 2012 after recording 30 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

The 6'5 defensive tackle also recovered three fumbles.

Hoyte was an All-SIAC Second Teamer after running for 927 yards and 10 TDs in 2012.

Tubbs grabbed 22 catches for 221 yards and a TD.

The trio are the first Golden Rams to receive NFL invites since QB AJ McKenna received one from the Saints in 2010.
