NORWOOD, OH (FOX19) -

A late night house fire has displaced a Norwood family.

A man returning from work spotted a fire in the third floor of his home just around midnight.  He was able to get his three brothers out of the home.  Four other family members are out of town.

The third floor was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.  They attempted to enter the house and fight the fire  but it was too dangerous so went into a defensive mode to keep the fire from spreading to the apartment next door.

There were four cats in the house and they also escaped.

No injuries have been reported and cause of the fire has not been determined.
