FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) -

Dozens of children facing life-threatening illnesses and their families got to attend the Florence Freedom baseball game on Wednesday.

Thanks to 'A Kid Again', a non-profit that organizes year-round events allowing children to 'feel like a kid again'.

The organization's founder, Michelle Johnson, says events like Wednesday help the children connect with others enduring the same situation.

"We are so grateful for our partner UC Medical Center, who are now a part of the Florence Freedom, who offered tickets to us, and many of our families are here tonight enjoying America's favorite past time, some baseball," said Michelle Johnson, founder of 'A Kid Again'.
