2 arrested in Selma on attempted murder, drug charges

SELMA, AL (WSFA) -

The Selma Police Department says two people are under arrested and charged with a shooting that happened on April 25, 2013.

Kendall Dixon and Fabian Lesure were arrested in the 1900 block of LL Anderson Avenue Wednesday and charged with a shooting that occurred in the area of Chanticleer apartments. One person was injured.

Detectives investigating the shooting linked Dixon and Lesure to drug activity and the possession of firearms. The officers secured a search warrant for the address of 1908 LL Anderson.

From the search and arrest several weapons and numerous ammunitions were recovered, including a high powered 30-30 rifle, 223 Assault Rifle and Tech 9mm (mini-machine gun type firearm).

Authorities also discovered large amounts of crack cocaine, powdered cocaine and marijuana.

Dixon was charged with attempted murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, drug trafficking cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $1.5 million.

Lesure was charged with attempt murder, shooting into occupied vehicle, possession of crack cocaine and possession of marijuana 1st degree. His bond was set at $576,000.
