In celebration of the safe return of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight, Radio One Cleveland and 19 Action News teamed up Thursday for a Victory Vigil.

Dozens of community members gathered at 1400 West 25th Street in Cleveland to show support for these strong women.

The Victory Vigil started with the crowd signing welcome home cards.

A couple hundred were in attendance, including the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland

"I just wanted to come and show my support too because I've been watching it this whole time and I wish them the best," said one community member.

"Just be there. Show the support, that's all we can do whether we can see them or not. They're free," said a Clevelander.

And there were red ribbons everywhere.

"The red ribbon is the girls favorite color. They wore red ribbons in their hair in schools when they were here and thank God they're back," said a former classmate.

Thursday's rally is the first of what will probably be many rallies of support for all of the victims.

Many of the people in attendance don't know the women personally or their families. But it doesn't matter, they are apart of our community and that makes them family.

"They're in their healing process. This the beginning of a healing process that's going to take a while. But we are with them. The whole community is with them," said Pastor Jesus Laboy.

Immediately following the rally participants marched across Veterans Memorial Bridge beginning at W. 25th Street & Detroit heading towards W. 9th Street and Superior. Each step, a sign of support.

The march celebrated the lives of these incredibly courageous women and support families still struggling with a missing loved one.
