Crash on I-65 in Butler Co. kills 1, injures 3

BUTLER CO., AL (WSFA) -

Alabama State Troopers are confirming that one person has died and three others were injured following a single-vehicle crash along Interstate 65 Thursday evening.

The crash occurred near mile marker 114 in Butler County and involved a U-Haul pickup truck. Authorities say the truck struck a bridge, ran off the road and overturned.

Two victims were transported to hospitals in the Mobile area while the third was transported to a medical center in Birmingham. The victims' identities were not immediately available.

Alabama State Troopers continue to work the case, looking for the cause of the crash. The investigation is ongoing and no additional details were immediately available.
