CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

For the first time since Gina's disappearance, the DeJesus family is very much looking forward to celebrating Mother's Day.

The family has not celebrated the holiday since Gina's 2004 disappearance.

19 Action News Reporter Lydia Esparra spoke with Gina's father, Felix, on Friday. He said Gina had a rough night because she was feeling overwhelmed by everything. But according to Felix, Gina slept well and is feeling better today. She is happy.

Gina, Michelle Knight and Amanda Berry were rescued from Ariel Castro's Seymour Avenue home on Monday. The women had been held against their will and sexually assaulted for years.
