BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

G'Quan "Tuttie" Baker was convicted last September of three counts of second degree murder was sentenced Friday to life in prison.  District Court Judge Don Johnson made him eligible for parole in 35 years.

"I had to take a lot of factors into consideration while determining your sentence," said Johnson during sentencing. "You were born a crack baby and you were a ticking time bomb your entire life."

"With all respect to the judge, this sentence is not adequate for the crime that was committed," said East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore. "This is a young killer at a very young age that eventually turned into a hit man killer at a very young age. Killed three people that cared for him. Shot one of the 12 times. Cold blooded killer that can be out of jail in 35 years and kill again."

Baker was convicted of killing Ashley London on June 29, 2011 and Kevin Bowie and Jessica Parker in July 2011. The Supreme Court has ruled offenders cannot receive an automatic life sentence.  Baker was 16 at the time of the murders

"I just thank God that it's over with," said Fayette Parker, a relative of one of the victims. "My aunt has been through enough. We kept dealing with this over two years I'm glad justice was served. I thank God finally my aunt can be in peace. She's smiling. I just thank God it's over."
