EAST LONGMEADOW, MA (WSHM) -

A two-car crash late Saturday night sent six people to the hospital.

The crash happened at about 10 p.m.

CBS 3 media partner Mass Live and The Republican reported that the crash occurred when a vehicle traveling south on Lee Street failed to stop for a stop sign at the Pease Road intersection.

The collision sent both cars into a utility pole, knocking it down.

While one person needed to be extricated, police said no major trauma was reported among any of the people involved.

The crash remains under investigation.
