A watch party was held at Daryl Jarvis Dance Studio
Wednesday night to support 19-year-old Cobham on the show.
His friends and family, instructors and fellow dancers
all met at the studio to watch Cobham's audition and cheer him on.
"I'm very proud of
him," said Jennifer Shubeta-Harris, owner of the Daryl Jarvis Studio. "This
whole studio is proud of him."
Cobham has been dancing for more than 10 years, and his
instructors say he is incredibly talented. He has been recognized at dance
competitions, receiving a perfect score two years in a row. Now he has the
chance of a lifetime to be nationally recognized for his talent.
"I think he's excited," Shubeta-Harris said. "He's kind
of laid back, he's a very humble kid…He doesn't show it too much. But he's
always in here, he's in here every second that he can, practicing, rehearsing,
trying to get inspired…He has a great passion for it."
